The ideal ratio is 1/3 greens to 2/3 fruit. Substitute greens in this recipe for any combination of spinach, cilantro, celery green, spring onion greens, beetroot greens, bok choy, basil, carrot leaves, etc. Substitute apples for local seasonal fruit like peaches, plums, pears.
To freeze an apple, cut it in half and remove the seeds. Rub half a lemon on both sides of the apple to prevent oxidation (the apple turning brown). Place both halves of the apple in an air-tight container in the freezer.
