Whole-Food Plant-Based Class in Tarrytown, NY
October 19 @ 5:30 pm – 8:00 pm
We had a wonderful class with 9 people at June’s home in Tarrytown.
We began the class with an informative talk and Q&A about a whole-foods plant-based (WFPB) dietary lifestyle. We then had a healthy and tasty green smoothie shot. Then continued with a demonstration, and hands-on experiential making, of dosas. We enjoyed the dosas with cheese, chat masala, masoor daal (red lentils). We then experienced hands-on making of garbanzo chillas (a bean crepe). We enjoyed the garbanzo chillas with cilantro chutney and black salt. We then demonstrated making of oat laddoos (cookie balls) with natural peanut butter.
All the foods followed a WFPB dietary lifestyle. Nutrition science has demonstrated that a WFPB dietary lifestyle can prevent, and reverse, many chronic diseases. Learn all the benefits of this lifestyle on the Why? page. All dishes are gluten free. As far as possible, we try to use organic, seasonal, and local ingredients.
