Want to learn how to cook rice and rice dishes in just a few easy steps? 

Rice is a very versatile grain. It tastes great along with other dishes and as a dish of it’s own when spices, vegetables, lentils, and even greens are mixed along with it. Not all rice is the same. Brown rice is much healthier than white rice; as the bran and germ are intact. Rice can be cooked in under 15 minutes in a pressure cooker.

Cooking expanded: We will demonstrate how to cook rice in a pressure cooker in a few easy steps. We will make a mixed vegetable rice dish known as Pulao. We will also make a traditional and modified rice and pulses dish known as Khichdi. Finally, we will learn how to make Mint Chutney that is a great accompaniment to any rice dish. Finally, we will learn how to make a Green Smoothie – that is a  ‘first-thing-in-the-morning’ health and taste boost.

All the foods in this class follow a WFPB dietary lifestyle. Nutrition science has proven that a WFPB dietary lifestyle can prevent, and reverse, many chronic diseases. Learn all the benefits of this lifestyle on the Why? page. All dishes are gluten free. As far as possible, we try to use organic, seasonal, and local ingredients.

Contribution

Regular Rate: $65 per person

Early Bird Discounted Rate: $50 per person till March 11, 2020.

All 5 Rate: Register for all five classes in the Winter 2020 Mindful Cooking Series for $225 ($45 per class) till February 5, 2020.
